A downloadable game for Windows

Sprout is a survivor of the nuclear apocalypse and they are running from the broken and destitute city to escape to the wilderness in order to repair the planet by picking up seeds to grow new plants and trees.

This game was created in one semester by 4 students in our final year of studying Animation. For our Video Game Design module we were tasked with creating a game, from concept art and modelling to texturing and coding, we had to make it all.

This workflow was entirely new to us as this was our first semester ever studying video games, but through lots of stress and confusion (plus learning new software; Unity) we managed to create Sprout!

We hope you enjoy our game, lots of hard work was put into this and we would appreciate any feedback! We do plan on updating this game and publishing it fully at some point in the near future!

  • The game in its current state has many bugs and no solid "gameplay". For the moment it is just a basic walking simulator with item collection.

FIXES PLANNED FOR THE NEXT UPDATE -

  • Add gameplay mechanic (building and level progression, win conditions)
  • Add UI
  • Fix movement mechanics
  • Fix animation transitions
  • Fix UI score
  • Improve texturing

Love the music and art style! Great back ground and nice platforms with different perspectives. Moving could be smoother but easy to control. The main character is super cute and I cant wait to be able to plant things. Story line sounds very interesting! I can not wait to see how the game progresses!
